Clatsop
Community Action coordinates the Clatsop County Regional Food Bank. Clatsop
Regional Food Bank is
a member of the Oregon
Food Bank (OFB) Network and Second Harvest
Network.
In its role of fighting hunger in Clatsop County
it distributes food to 18 local agencies. These include pantries, hot meal
sites, shelters and other programs which help people who face food
insecurity.
CCA
administers a Wood
Lot
program in conjunction with Clatsop County Sheriff's
Department to
aide residents of
Clatsop
County
who meet the income guidelines and burn wood for heat. CCA is
also the direct service
provider of Oregon
Heat
which serves residents of
Clatsop
County
who are customers of Pacific Power & Light .
CCA
has a free
store
which supplies low income clients with emergency personal and household
care items.
CCA
owns and operates Hilltop
Apartments
for people who are at or below eighty percent of the county median income. Those
who meet this requirement are invited to apply. CCA also offers two
reduced rent transitional housing units at Hilltop to
applicants referred by other social service agencies.
CCA
administers several housing
assistance programs
and offers case management for people searching for housing. One of
these programs, Continuum of Care, provides for two transitional units for
clients referred by other social service agencies.
