Food drives provide some of the healthiest & highest-quality food we receive.  Roughly 14% of food donations come from food drives.

Clatsop Regional Food Bank heartily applauds the amazing community members who coordinate food and fund drives at work sites, schools, churches and temples, service clubs, professional organizations and more.

Download our Food & Fund Drive Kit.  It tells you how to start a food and fund drive, lists most-wanted foods and food-donation sites; provides a checklist, creative ideas; and includes a Donation Report Form.

Every dollar donated purchases about 6 lbs of food or about $8.00 worth of food from the Oregon Food Bank. What to Donate

The best foods to donate are canned meats (i.e. tuna, chicken and salmon), canned and boxed meals, (i.e. soup, chili, stew, macaroni and cheese), peanut butter, canned or dried beans and peas (i.e. black, pinto, lentils), pasta, rice, cereal, canned fruits & 100% fruit juice (canned, plastic or boxed).

What NOT to Donate

There are some food items that we cannot accept in order to enforce USDA Food Safety guidelines. Some of those items are rusty or unlabeled cans, perishable items, homemade items, noncommercial canned or packaged items, alcoholic beverages, mixes or soda and open or used items.
